What material do you paint on?.....I use high quality acid free 300gsm watercolour paper. How do I order?.....Just drop me an email with the title of the painting or print. What are the postage costs?.....Postage and packaging is charged at cost and is about £2.30 (UK) and £4.30 (USA). this will usually cover up to three paintings or prints. I will let you know the exact postage cost before dispatch. Do I have to pay for my painting on ordering?.....No. Payment is not required until after you have received your painting. What if on receipt of my painting I decide it is not for me?.....No problem. I realise paintings are subjective and what I like you may not. Just pop it back in the post to me, no explanation is needed. When do I pay for my painting?.....After receipt and only if it is what you require, only then is payment due. How do I pay?.....You may pay by cheque (UK only) or Postal Order (UK only) or you may use your credit or debit card via PayPal. If you wish to pay by cheque or postal order drop me an email and I will let you have my address. If you wish to pay by credit or debit card please email me and I will forward a PayPal invoice, by email, that will contain the PayPal payment instructions. What should I do with the painting when it arrives?.....The painting will be curled by it's time spent in the postage tube. Use the tube to reverse roll the painting to bring it to a flat state. Then leave it to lay flat overnight. How should I frame my painting?.....It should be framed under glass just like any watercolour or pastel painting. How do I take care of my painting?.....No special care is required. As with all paintings, just hang it in a normally heated room and away from direct sunlight. I would like to commission a painting, how do I do this and what will it cost?.....The cost to produce a painting of a scene or building of your choice is £20. I have to undertake one site visit to the location, and I charge £0.20 per mile for this visit. My studio is located in the Leeds LS20 area, so this will enable you to make a calculation as to mileage costs. Will you produce a painting from my own photograph?.....Not usually. I take between 20 and 30 photographs of a location in order to obtain sufficient details for a painting. In the past I have found that a painting produced from other peoples photographs is unsatisfactory.
