Top Withens is credited as being Emily Bronte's setting for Heathcliffe's moorland farmstead in Wuthering Heights. This desolate ruin on the pennine moors above Haworth is certainly romantic enough and even on a fine day, it is hard not to be impressed by the wildness of the place.
